Tecoma stans is one of my favorites, and is also appreciated by the bees, bumblebees, hummingbirds orioles and warblers. In my area, the non-cultivars remain in constant bloom for multiple years. I find the 6' growing 'Gold Star' and reddish Bells of Fire lose their leaves and stop blooming for 2-3 months of the year, even in our mild climate. But 9-10 months out of 12 of spewing flowers is still nothing to complain about. The potato bush provides a nice flower color contrast.
