Thanks for your suggestions. It's so hard for me to identify hosta because the same plant can look different depending on the amount of light it gets. Just as an FYI, the first one gets very little light. The second one gets midday sun.

That first one is tough. I don't think it is ventricosa because the backs of the leaves look to have a little bit of wax. I see some traits of Komodo Dragon or immature look of Queen of the Seas. I think you will need to let that one grow up to show its mature look and form better. The second does have some traits of the Halcyon family but might be a little too much cream to be El Nino, so possibly a First Frost in a lot of sunlight. If the edge was yellow coming up then it could be First Frost. But again it might be something else. Watch for flowers soon as the Halcyon family should be flowering about now.

The green (blue?) one will be very hard to identify, especially when it's in this adolescent stage. Suggestions above (Komodo Dragon and QOTS) are good holding names for now. Maybe the latter is Wolverine or the related Bobcat? It would help to know the spring coloration of either: whether they showed any "blue" wax.

I noted on your other post that you use large, rough, gravel as a ground-cover. That's generally a bad thing in hosta beds. Hostas much prefer an organic mulch.

Yep. I was waiting for someone to say that. :p I'm pushing the rock back away from the plants as much as I can. I'm stuck with the landscape rock for now in a few beds.
