Prep sink placement

I am getting ready to do a partial kitchen reno. New granite, backsplash, main sink, faucet, metal hood, and a few new cabinets. I don't have a kitchen designer, so I keep second guessing myself... making it a slower process than I'd like. Here's yet another example. I keep looking at this one side wall of cabinet and countertop - thinking it's a waste of space. It isn't used for anything. I've only lived in this home for a few months, and they've been busy ones... so I've not had a chance to give the kitchen the workout I normally would. I do know I'm installing a 33" super single sink in the island. I have had those in my past kitchens and loved them. But I also had a prep sink before that was well used. I look at that side wall and think a prep sink would work well there, but it's on the other side of the long island from the refrigerator. I know the "proper" placement is near the fridge... and ideally between the fridge and main sink. So, would it be foolish to put one there? I think it would still be used, but maybe it's over the top and would be a bad design. What do you think???
