Let’s talk backsplash - looking for ideas

Looking for backsplash ideas for our kitchen remodel. We will have a gray buffet built in the dining room and the walls will probably be a white sage color

The photos are rather confusing, especially the last one with the various cabinets. And what is white sage? What do you have in place now?

Agreed, don’t know what white sage is. Also, why are you adding a gray buffet to your warm color palette? Because it’s trendy? You don’t have any gray in your room. Adding it is a big mistake.

Hi there! The various cabinets (gray and pearl- pictured on the bottom) are the cabinets we are going with. They actually go great together when not in the same room. The granite also has some gray tones. White sage is a soft green pictured here on the back wall.

the white cabinets shown with the granite you picked is very cool toned. Your floor should change to a cooler terra cotta tone..not the yellow amber tile shown. So, what you are saying is the current situation is the layout but all the elements are changing? A white subway tile is good for backsplash as cabinets chosen have nice detail...you don't need anything to draw more attention. Just get a different floor tile.

Unfortunately we are stuck with the flooring. My whole house is done in 16x16 noche travertine. It would be too expensive to replace. The granite we have seems to pull it all together to make it work.

I second the floor and granite looking off color. That granite looks like a peachy pink undertone while the floor looks yellow.

Make sure you look at the floor and granite sample in your kitchen . The ambient lighting and even time of the day sometimes change hues dramatically.

all the best for your kitchen remodel !

Thank you all for your input. The flooring and counter tops are staying. Cabinets are already on order and we are full steam ahead. Just thought I’d ask for some suggestions on backsplash style/color. I understand not seeing the full house prob doesn’t help. I’ll be sure to post before and afters once we are done!

I'd get the granite and the cabinets in and then take some pictures if you have time. Once you've taken pictures come back and post them and people will be able to better help with backsplash once it's all seen in your space.
