That pattern is one of my favorites, in fact I made it following Bonnie's tutorial using some lightweight denim, muslin and blue-striped pillow ticking. So glad for you that your slate is clean, ready for the next chapter.

I'll bet you did, Bev. I bought some Shannon Minky for the back of the little 4-patch scrappy quilt I was having problems with, so when that's quilted, I'll have nothing left to quilt but the one I'm working on. You know, I just remembered... I have the fabric cut for a wall hanging and a baby quilt that I left in Hawaii to work on next winter. My checked bag was maxed out at 49.8 pounds, so I didn't dare pack the fabric. Maybe those count as UFOs too, but I prefer to think of them as WIPs, works in progress.

No more UFOs?? OMG I can't imagine that. Every time I go digging in the closet for fabric I find another almost finished project I'd forgotten about. If I finish my UFOs I won't have time to make my latest project. Is there a pill for that?

When are you heading to Hawaii? We’re heading to the islands Wednesday, but just for a week. They’ve started putting a roof on our garage/guest house, so we are slowly recovering from Irma. Last week I sucked it up and bought a new walking foot to replace the one that blew away. Can’t wait ‘til things are back to normal and I have time to sew!

Latifolia, we spend the months of January, February and March in Hawaii. It’s a good time to escape Minnesota. I can’t imagine - you’re still recovering from Irma, and we’re in the middle of the next hurricane season. I’m so sorry you sustained damage and loss.
