Tile to drywall transition - help!!!

I'm doing a bath tub replacement and the opening is larger than normal. The tub is installed (no going back) and the gap is too big on the side opposite the plumbing (7/8" clear between tub and stud and 1-1/8" between stud and front face of flange, see images below). I plan install 1/2" plywood, then 1/2" cement board, which works for the tub and tile. However, I will have a transition between tile and drywall as there will be an extra 1/2" thickness to overcome. Note, tile is 3x6 subway and will extend to ceiling.

Options at tile to drywall transition:

1. Run wood casing or quarter round floor to ceiling (including between tile and window opening). Do you think bull nose or regular tile up to molding? I will bull nose on the other vertical transition.

2. Use a mud cap tile and trim the return side if needed

3. Use a quarter round tile

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
