Hi Steve. What a great haul and phenomenal price. Really good looking plants.

Yeah, it was great talking to Bob. He kind of hung back and let his workers work, until he heard someone talk about Hostas and then he was right in the thick of it. Helping someone who brought some leaves to identify or just casually remarking, "Oh you got a good one, How About That!" or was it just "You got a good How About That!" I was asking about Winter Frost and he said, "Oh yeah, we have one, but the girls thought we needn't bother to label it". But he walked right to it and handed it over. I forgot to ask about X-cellent, cause that was on my list too. It all happened rather quickly as we had a 7 hour drive and my wife was eager to be with her family. Wish I would have had more time to chat. Pictures of his place:

Here's the Honey Bear/Pie. I really like the color of Honey Pie. It really is a different color than anything else I've seen. I selected this one cause it was doing some sporting, and it would be interesting to see what happened. Or maybe this is Honey Bear reverting to Honey Pie. Bob said next year I would get both. Sounds good to me! It is only a single eye with 1/2 the leaves solid, a couple completely variegated, and a couple half and half. I wish I would have snapped some pics of his Honey area to show the colors better.

Steve- I really like the color of Honey Pie too... I’ve got two of them, and I also really like the form of the plant.

Oh, what a coup. Sharp Dressed Man has been on my list for a number of years but I never bought it. I had to look up Winter Frost - its exactly my kind of hosta. Nice choices.
