Trizact abrasive was invented by 3M to polish jet windshields. It does a great job making high gloss finishes on solid surface. It will do the same for your shower if it's not glass.

I took notes too. I'd never heard of Trizact before.

Problem is, the name "Trizact" seems to encompass many different products. I can't tell which ones would be good for polishing plexiglass or polycarbonate.

Not sure if it would work with your configuration, but what about applying window film to the outside of the shower glass to hide/disguise the etching?
