Dave's Garden watchdog reviews Direct Gardening are not good either

Google Direct Gardening Reviews and look for Yelp and Daves garden watchdog. They both look bad.

I have no experience but I looked on Daves Watchdog here.

There are a whole lot of high quality nurseries in California. I would probably order through one of them if you aren’t close enough to visit. IME you get the most for your money at brick and mortar nurseries because for shipping, the smaller the plant, the less expensive the shipping.

I apologize for the multiple postings. I posted and then submitted and it just disappeared yesterday. I did that three times and gave up. nothing was posted at the time. Weird.

I've had very good luck with Annie's Annuals. I'm buying drought- and heat-tolerant varieties to plant among my mostly antique roses. Four plants with shipping and CA sales tax cost around $50.00 which is not exactly cheap, but I'm planting in the heat of summer and all have done extremely well. From a somewhat less expensive nursery only one of the four plants is still alive, although that may be partially my fault for not keeping a better eye on them. However, the pots were smaller and so were the plants.
