Color scheme for a vaulted ceiling with beams - HELP

Hi! This picture is from the listing before we bought our house, with previous owner’s furniture and decor. I want to paint our master bedroom but could not decide on the color palette. Would it be better to do one color all over as before or paint walls / beams / ceiling in different colors? The beams are at 8 ft height. And the highest point of ceiling is 12 ft. Could you help with some suggestions and examples. I could not find any so far. All examples that I saw were with bare wood beams or with beams along the ceiling (not my case). Please, help!

Note: We are not planning to strip off the paint of beams for showing wood or do a wood overlay.

Strip the room, get your own furniture in there, choose your bedding, THEN decide on a color scheme. Paint comes last.

But after you get your own furniture in the b toom, palladium blue is a beautiful, soft serene hue- if it works with your decor imho.

Bedding will determine color selection. You'll want to strip the wallpaper off and prep the walls for painting. What do you plan for the carpet? What style is your furniture?

The bed is going to be upholstered, in light color: off-white, cream or linen. I’m thinking about this kind (see pics). And the bedding is mostly white with cream and beige tones (I have similar to 2nd pic)

If you are not going to make the beams wood, I'd paint them white along with the trim and then paint the the rest of the room, including the ceiling a pale color. Pale blue, pale gray, pale green - pale anything.

What about beams’ paint finish? Semi-gloss white or eggshell? The thing is I could not find any picture with painted beams which are not along the ceiling. Would semi-gloss white beams look nice in my case?

I'm not a fan of semi-gloss. If there are any imperfections in the wood it will show up. I would use the same finish as the trim, a satin. Use flat on the ceiling and matte on the walls. It is going to be a beautiful room.

I'm a fan of satin on everything. I like the bit of reflectivity it gives.
