A corner arc light can be a great light source that can hang like a pendant light over the center of the room. The arc light itself is almost like a work of art and may generate many compliments from visitors. I’d recommend Crate & Barrel’s Meryl arc light (https://www.crateandbarrel.com/meryl-arc-floor-lamp/s518096) as it comes with a good diffuser so people looking up aren’t blinded.

Consider hanging a mirror on the wall to increase the room’s natural light and sense of spaciousness. I’d recommend this mid-century modern “floating” wall mirror as it’s elegant design would compliment the artwork you have hanging on the opposite wall.

Skip the mirror. You need artwork in that spot.
