It should do just fine. I would plant it in a marginal area. I like planting mine on the edge of the woods since that is how I find them grow most often. How ever I do know people who like to grow them along the fence in full sun and there's do great.

Pea, the info I found on it says full sun, but I think here with our harsh summer sun, some light afternoon shade wouldn't be bad. It seems to be very cold hardy and produces sometimes in the spring and fall, which is probably what it would do here in FL, I'd think. It sounds like a wonderful plant! Good luck with it!

I got 4 of them so hopefully enough fruit to make a cobbler or two.

From what I read about the size of the fruit, you'll probably get more than one cobbler. One guy said it was golf-ball size.
