My 1900’s home was converted from a double house and is very open and almost loft like (as is very common in my area).

I need furniture for the entry “ area” - a 8” length of wall to the right of my door.

do you think a bench or a console is oreferable?

Because of door placement I can’t put anything too deep either. I’m really looking for a well defined area that goes with my modern style where I can drop keys or a purse.

I am also debating over a mirror vs a piece of art over the furniture. Help?
