New Kitchen Help

We are remodeling our 1940’s home and also some new construction. The first floor is mission/Southwest. The new kitchen in different area of house. It will be 13x20. Our contractor needs floor and cabinet decisions sooner than I thought. I have had a plan in my head 15 years now am stressed because some ideas have changed due to new products available now. The construction loan has budget constraints. I have picked a cinnamon color shaker style cabinet. The color throughout walls on first floor is called latte and trim will be stained similar to a cinnamon that shows little red hue. The dining room will have an accent wall painted an earthen jug. I want to bring in pops of color in backsplash and floor. I have a rug from Albuquerque that has the colors of turquoise, gold, brick reds, etc. that are southwest inspirations. I was wanting black countertops. I am struggling because I also wanted new black stainless appliances. Is it too much to have black counter and black appliances in the kitchen? There is a big double window over sink. Will it be too dark in there.
