In my opinion... Unless you're in a super sunny/hot climate choose black. Always a black roof.

I would go with a medium gray. It's neutral and would look very nice with your brick. For darker, go with charcoal.

You might ask your roofer if there are any projects you can drive by to get a sense of your options installed. I discovered that shingles with "black" in the title are actually medium to dark gray.

I'd go for a medium grey or charcoal. It goes well with the brick and makes it easy to pick trim colors.

Something similar to this roof color. Ignore everything else...this house needs major help with landscaping.

Sara, I just saw your photo. Yes...that color. For me, something closer to black can look 'severe.'

This is labeled as Landmark Moire Black, but it reads dark gray to me.

I guess sun exposure impacts the appearance quite a bit too. My visible roof from the street is a southwest exposure. If it was north, it would probably look very black.

The white trim is nice, just beef up the columns and the trim around the windows. Lose the shutters as they're too small. Then just get some landscaping!

^Agree with Sina. So you know, each shutter should be half the window's width. A double window is too large for that. The wider trim Sina mentioned would be better.

I wonder when beefing up the porch posts if you could get away with just three of them, positioned in a way that they frame the front door and the porch window. It would be nice if a post wasn't in front of the window...

A low planter box across the left side of the porch would look cool and act like a porch railing. Just make sure the top of the planter/plants don't totally cover the bottom of the window. I drew it in dark gray, but this might be a good place to inject some fun color if that's you're taste.
