i think we are just going through all kinds of changes. everytime i post it does not report back to me that i have posted or any comments made. just impossible.

now, i have always had to pick whether i wanted dilemmas or other etc.

No idea what you are talking about.

yep, i have always had to do that. first the category: dilemmas to other, then you have to pick which thread you want to go in. i have been here about 4 years on a computer.

Weird. When I want to get to Houzz, I click on the Google thumbnail. That takes me to this page.

From here, I usually click on the notification bell. After I go there, I either look at more notifications, or click at the top of the thread to get to that section, like - Design Dilemna or Kitchens or whatever. I mean...you do have to pick where to go....but I am not "choosing a topic for discussion"?

HI Hal, I just took a look at your account and was not able to replicate what you are describing. Can you please shoot us a message through help.houzz.com (profile support) and include some screenshots if possible? Thanks!

Hal, I have the same issue. Emily, clicked your help link but only got a blank page.

Edge doesn't work for this but with IE, after you find the part of a website you prefer to open (such as Reddit worldnews), you can drag the icon to pin it to the task bar and that category will be the one that opens when you click the icon.

So how are you accessing the site exactly? Are you opening a browser? Are using an email link? Might be easier for people to help you if they know exactly what you’re doing.

    I access through the app.

    Thank you, Chess.

    Preach it.

I still want my account page to display all the recent posts and comments of people I'm following. But no, that would be too useful!

    it does on the computer.

For a while I got it on one work station, but not the other. Now it's gone on both. Apparently the Houzz IT team didn't think that was a useful feature. Mostly, I suppose, because it's use didn't lead to sales.

I don’t follow anyone so I can’t help you with that functionality. Actually I didn’t even know that was a thing here. .

not sure we are on the same page, but on my computer, if i go to me and go down the page it shows in order everyones latest posts whom i follow. i don't follow people just don't so i don't get so much of that. if you go to activity, it shows your most recent responses only. and of course if you ask for your posts it will show threads you put up. at least on mine that has not changed.

Yes, that is exactly how mine works. And it works that way on my PC, AND on my iPhone - (desktops site). I see where if you hover over a poster's username in the post, it will give a "Follow" button. And I would assume that would work too, I just have never used it.

Holly - are you using an Ad Blocker? That has been mentioned here many times as there seems to be one in particular that can cause all sorts of issues with displaying the sections of the forum.

I almost exclusively use the app on my phone. For a while, every time I opened it a screen would pop up that forced me to choose topics. Finally read on another post that by tapping the screen outside the pop up it disappears for good.

Latest update messed up how Houzz works on my phone, AGAIN.

AND, to me, the revised LIKE button --- looks like I'm giving myself the 'middle' finger. Weird.

    ---------------------------------

My phone works well with all other forums that I comment in. Only Houzz messes up --- and this time I've been unable to get it right.

    ---------------------------------------

Houzz wants italic text to disappear? and why a 'check mark' to indicate BOLD?

OOPS--- maybe it's just me, but the 'unordered list" = italic and so on.
