Small galley kitchen lighting

Hello - Just finished adding a new backsplash and counter to our small kitchen in our condo. I'm a bit stuck on the lighting. Currently, there is a ceiling fan with light in the middle and I added a small spot light over the sink. I hate the light in the middle and want to add some can lights. However, I'm a bit stuck on the locations.

I've attached a layout with the yellow the current lights and the red the only place I can really think to put the lights. Is the one light on the right side that is not aligned with anything unusual? I'm worried it will look out of place. Maybe it would be better aligned with sink even though its not right over the center of the counter? Kitchen has under cabinet lights and a light in the microwave over the stove. Also the kitchen picture is from when we bought it not current at all, for layout reference only

(If this was our long term home I'd probably reconfigure everything and take down a wall :) but not worth the time)

Any ideas or advice?

You should add some lighting under the upper cabinets to illuminate the counter tops. You could consider replacing the fan with a track light - that way you could adjust the direction of each light. If you aren't going to stay in the place for a long time it might be the most cost-effective way to proceed

Already have under-cabinet lights. I'm trying to avoid the behind the head lighting that makes so much shadow.

I don’t have advise but rather a question, ha! My galley is very similar...do you feel the fan provides circulation, you know so the place doesn’t smell like last week’s dinner?
Right now I have a fan in the dining area outside of the kitchen. And I hate it. And I hate any fan that cld fit there. BUT, it’s circulation when I need it! Does your kitchen fan seem to help or does it just sorta move air around the kitchen? Thanks!

Bela - The fan does move air around, but it doesn't keep my place from smelling like what I'm cooking. For that you would need a range vent that goes outside...
