While I'm laid up, might as well "bug" the rest of you with my ignorance. Took best pic I could get closeup of my Canna which is on the young side. SEE my image with arrows. Are these Canna seed pods? One is has some green, and rest darkish. If so, I gather they have not matured enough as I see no opening/slits in the pods.

Not very big, as I thought they might be. If they're pods, maybe the size is because it's not a fully mature Canna? Looks about the size of an eraser at the end of a pencil, but plumper.

Am on the look out.

ALSO: have spotted TALL Canna Lilies around my area in different locations, usually at the very front of residents' yards. Is there a certain time all Canna seed pods mature to be picked? It's still very hot and humid in 90s. Thought I might get up courage to ask if I could take some seeds if I thought ripe for the pickin', that is if I can catch at right time.
