We’ve just decided to build a pool at our new house. Back in 2006 we built our own pool with lots of help from this board. I’m wondering what has changed in 12 years, I’m assuming a lot. A salt water pool was the big thing then but I’m wondering how they have held up and if they are still thought of as the go to or if a regular chlorine pool is the better option? Also, we don’t want a pebble finish and prefer a quartz. What brand should we go with? What about filters? We had Hayward before. Are they still who we should be looking at? Anything else new I haven’t thought to ask about. We are in AZ if that makes a difference.
