No painting of the brick. Get it cleaned. Why create maintenance for new buyers when they can have maintenance free. Its a nice looking brick house. Maintenance free is a huge selling feature.

I would consult a landscaper. To my eye, the house appears to be "sliding" down the hill. There is nothing keeping kiddos from dropping off the porch or gramma off the steps.

Cleaning the brick and the roof would go a long way toward improving the curb appeal.

Instead of painting the brick, consider:

• Updating the landscaping
• Moving the hose and hose holder to the side or back rather than the front of the house
• Clean the rest of the front steps (looks like the pressure washing just stopped at the top)
• Add a railing for the steps
• Change the columns to wood - in the proper size. I don't know that boxing them in will accomplish that without the columns looking out of proportion. Someone else here will know more about that than I do.
• Remove the storm door.
• If the front door is in good shape than paint it an accent color: Red? Blue? Green?
• Those planters in white aren't working.
• When you put it on the market, stage the front porch

If at all possible, tie in your landscaping with your front door. Here is an example below. Sometimes it's easier, and more cost-effective, to tie in greens but this one ties in the red front door.

What is the discoloration of the brick near the foundation to the left of the stairway?

Hose the dirt off the lower brick. Paint everything white a less glaring color.

If it were mine....remove all the shutters, pressure wash the brick and roof. Paint the white ironwork posts and window covers black. Add landscaping. If you could remove the door and window grids even better.

Why is the brick discolored near the ground? Iron stains? I would not paint the brick if those stains/ discoloration can be removed.

Shutters are too long.

Porch and steps need railing, badly. What's going on with the steps? Looks like the rise of the top step is greater than the rise of the lower steps. (You don't want potential buyers being turned off before they even get inside of the house.). Going to get a big ding on home inspection reports if those items aren't remedied.

Would replace the porch supports. Trying to cover them up is going to, I'm afraid, not be a good look. The proportions will look odd.

Are those metal security bars on the first level windows? Ugh.
