Dominion 2l systemic to get rid of or decrease spider mites. Dose once then water with regular water weeks prior to dormancy just to make sure insecticide is out of the bulb's system. Any new bulbs I would bath in Dominion for a few hours to decrease likelihood of an outbreak to my existing bulbs.

Captan as a fungicide should help combat red blotch.

Brian, is that systemic safe to treat bulbs with continuously? I get spider mites year round, and I have only been able to kill them with isopropyl alcohol. Eventually they come back, and it is hard to notice them until the infestation has damaged the leaves.

Can't say that it's safe per se, but it does work with no visible side-effects on my plants. I treated 4 of my doubles earlier this year that got mites from a nearby Home Depot bulb. Two of the doubles (Dancing Queen & Aphrodite) re-bloomed this month of September and all seem happy & hardy. I dilute the solution to half that recommended on the bottle just to be safe.
