I can't post pictures from this computer. Google chalet bathrooms, or mountain lodge bathrooms and see if you get any ideas that appeal to you. I am renovating bathrooms in a ski house and have settled on soapstone counters, slate floors with plain white/modernish fixtures inside a woodsy envelope- all the walls are wood.

OMG, I thought this thread was about bathrooms. Color me embarrassed. So sorry for not reading properly. My only defense is I found the thread on the bathroom forum ;-)

Reviewing ideabooks helps people with limited time to focus on some ideas collected under certain parameters and give ideas. The personalization comes in when you work with someone trained to guide material selections to become cohesive to the style of the home and with budget. Best wishes!

Rita - the OP did say bedroom and bathroom. You were not wrong. (I don't like posters soliciting work for themselves either, but I guess HOUZZ doesn't mind.)

If you have the room, I'd put a fireplace on the wall between the bathroom and bedroom and have it visible from both rooms. I think they are called double sided fireplaces.

dragonflywings42- I don't post to solicit work, I post to share. For instance on this thread, we built our bedroom set for our use, we would not make one to sell to anyone. The whole point of Houzz is to share. I'm not sure how you think they earn enough money to operate, but just a hint, it is us Pro's that pay Houzz so that you can use it for free.
