I think I have a blind fish.

I have a small (150 gallon) pond. I put in some "feeder" fish a couple years ago to keep any mosquitos away. I recently adopted 2 "my kids won these at a carnival" fish to add to my little school. One of the new fish never comes up to feed on the floating pellets. It also takes no notice of me hovering over the pond. It seems to swim fine but slowly and I have not seen it run into the walls but when everyone else is pigging out on the pellets he just nibbles at the little bit of moss on the sides or roots around the bottom of the pond.

I am afraid with winter coming he may not be able to find enough to eat. I thought of sinking pellets or a vacation block but imagine the more active fish or the pleco will beat him to that.

Any suggestions or reassurance that he will do ok?

Thank you

Jean
