Question about banana tree

Does anyone have experience to grow banana tree in pot outdoor in north texas? I am thinking to grow banana to decorate for my garden but dont want to grow it on the ground. However, i dont know if it could survive during the winter If i grow it in the pot. Advices?
This is my garden, im not satisfied yet cuz it looks kinda boring now. i looking for some ideas
