One Tussock moth caterpillar ID help, and one caterpillar verification

The Tussock moth (or are they?) caterpillars are pretty big, at least 4cm. I saw a picture of American dagger moth caterpillar, but not an exact match. I think the flannel moth caterpillar is the Southern one. Is that right? I know, don’t touch this one at all. Cute as it is.

They do look similar. And similar in size. Mine are still there. Looking the same, but probably at about 45mm. May I ask another one? It’s on oak. There are an unusual number of tussock moth caterpillars around this year it seems.
