baby boy nursery

Looking for storage solutions, preferably underneath the window. (Measures about 30” below window). Also, any ideas on what to put on the wall next to the crib? Thanks!!

Under the window, a low bookcase would be handy there. Little ones love to be read to. Maybe a peel and stick mural of animals on the other wall.

On the wall directly over the crib, a brightly colored poster of animals, or the alphabet. And on the wall next to the window a large framed photo of your extended family.

Under the windows you can't really put anything because of the heating vent.

Under the window without a heating vent I would put a shelf unit and be sure to tack it to the wall. Children have been seriously wounded by pulling shelves down on top of them.

You can buy clear plastic containers to corral toys, etc.

You can't block the heating units. A baby doesn't need much more storage than a dresser and some closet space. If the chair is a rocker, you are set. Add some color to the room...
some art and maybe a couple of shelves for things to be out of reach.

Yup, Katie is right. You will spend MANY hours in that chair. If you breastfeed you will spend MANY MANY hours in that chair. You need a nightstand and a 3 way lamp on that table. I’d also recommend a stick on mural for above the crib, as hanging anything can be dangerous when you have a handsy toddler.

I wouldn't put art over the crib

a mural-taking a whole wall-can be very cool but it'd be partially obscured by the crib(for the time being)

I don't mind it being empty too frankly. You might have a mobile there..also babies and toddlers find interest in much more mundane simple things than we do. Unlike grown ups-they don't mind watching the paint dry, so to say))

What'd actually be cool and very pretty and fun to look at and hard to reach and pull-is some sort of ceiling mobile. Etsy shops have some cool ones. Ranging from interesting shapes, to interesting shapes and colors..can be metals, or paper or whatnot.

I totally agree on making that chair zone as comfortable and functional as possible. So yes to nightstand and to a lamp. Water bottle will be essential. Maybe even a big one.

How lovely to be decorating a nursery! My favorite area to dare to go different and be creative. Looks like a perfect place you've got there. I'd recommend a mural to not take up space but add something extra to the baby's room. Perhaps something of the attached? Happy to help you find a design that is working with your personal taste. Best of luck! Emma at rebelwalls.com

A tall, perhaps wicker hamper beside the changing table. If you go with a nightstand and lamp, get a colorful lamp.
