Like the table, you might be able to find one second hand and paint it white.

cute pup! If you want to remove that little desk and put a small round table there or even a little built in, you could do that.

you have a lot of furniture crammed in that small room. you have a large sofa and chair. why do you have the white dresser piece under the window in the first pic? as a suggestion I would remove that and gold chair. I'd stick a plant in that corner and leave it at that. that would allow you to move your large chair and give it some breathing room.

if you took out the white dresser, gold chair and desk, would you be able to fit a rectangle type of table near the window? (next to where that little desk is)

Have you thought about getting a white shag rug to put under your coffee table?

I suggest a round tulip table and 2-4 Panton chairs. The chairs can stack if needed for more space.

I'm afraid if you did a round table like the one in the pic, above, it's going to impede flow to the kitchen and block a good portion of the doorway. unless you think it's wide enough.
