Luckily it has been downsized to a Cat 1, we'll probably just get a lot of wind and rain. Doesn't stop people from going overboard where we are, we sold out of generators, gas cans, flashlights, most large sizes of batteries, and almost all of our tarps multiple times at work (and most of that was just my department). You'd think the apocalypse is coming with the way people react sometimes.

Stush, I think its just our high humidity that helps the most here. I have two orchids that I've barely watered at all almost all summer, with the humidity, they thrive, tons of new roots. I definitely can't rule out your alfalfa watering routine either, I believe that had a lot to do with it as well.
