Garage roof redo

My husband and I looked at a house last night with a 3 car detached garage, sized 40 x 30, which looks similar to the first photo, with the garage doors on the side where the roof comes down. The doors are short (my husband thought about 7 ft), and would not fit what he needs for a shop. Is it possible to take off the current roof, and change the roofline to something like the second photo, so we could do larger doors on the outsides, and an even taller door in the center for a camper. The building is brick. I know it would not be inexpensive, but plan to factor that into an offer, if we make one. We are in Missouri.

Just budget building a new garage. 50-80K.

It is possible, but it may be more cost effective to remove the existing garage and build one to your specifications.

Or would it be more cost effective to try for this? Obviously not all the fancy finishes, just looking at the roof structure.

You need a local contractor to look at the project. Everything depends on the existing roof structure.

More trouble and expense than it's worth. Tear it down and start over.

Can you access one end of the garage (on the side)? If so, would the bays be deep enough (so two current door depth) if you put two tall doors in the end, then left the 3rd door at the far end on the current side? You could either leave the 3 doors, as is, or cover the two no longer being used from that side with siding.

We thought of that, but there isnt enough room to access from the sides. in the end we decided not to make an offer, just didn't make sense financially. thank you all so much for your comments!
