With the blue siding, I like white -- I don't think wood would look as good. However, in all fairness, I think we need to see "the whole picture". That is, the house that's attached. The garage doesn't exist in a vacuum.

White works really well with that blue.

Do consider choosing your new garage doors with a row of narrow windows at the top -- let some of that southern exposure sunshine in to light the interio --, especially worthwhile in winter in Wisconsin.

I would do white with windows and add the carriage hardware you like. I think it will look pretty and fit in with the age of the house. Or these would be pretty. They're Clopay and have an 18.4 R value.

Without being able to see the house, you say it's an old farm house and the colors that you have now on the siding and roof are cool toned,. So if you want to do something different than just white, I would get a faux finisher in and do a white-washed gray look on the garage doors to look like distressed gray wood. And then I would get some garage door accessories so that the doors don't look so flat. They sell decorative hinges that you could put on each panel of the door. You could install "handles" that would be decorative only but made to look like the garage door is more like a barn door (as long as they don't impede the ability of the door to open and close properly). If you don't like those ideas, then I would get skinny pieces of 2x4s and apply those in a decorative pattern to the panels to make the door less flat and boring, and more custom.
