The roots on the daffodil bulbs tell me that I should plant them with the pointy side up. Is that the same way I should plant the crocus bulbs?

Pointy side up is good :-) And just an FYI but true bulbs (as opposed to corms or tubers) will have a usually flat, sort of rough textured basal plate side from where the roots emerge. And this should be facing down.

Yes, replant asap. As you can see the daffodil has already started to grow ready for next spring. There's no reason they can't go back in the bed with the Asters. The latter will be cut down when they die back and the bulbs will be able to grow unimpeded next spring. Then the Aster foliage will start growing and hide the dying daffodil leaves.

I re-planted about 12 daffodil bulbs yesterday but I still have about 18 left over and about 12 crocus bulbs.

I have a bed next to my house that doesn't get direct sun but it's brighter there than it is in the shade. Does that classify as part-sun or part-shade? I was thinking about putting the crocuses there or since they're not planted as deep and they bloom at a different time, can I plant them near/on top of the daffodil bulbs?

Another thing, until I figure out and replant, what's the best way to store the bulbs?

You don’t need much space for 18 daffs and 12 crocus. I’d be inclined to put them all together. 12 daffodils will hardly make any impact by themselves. I’d do 3 clumps of ten daffs and one patch using all the crocuses. Crocus must have sun or the flowers won’t open.
