I bought some furniture at a clearance center of a local furniture chain. You buy the exact piece, no warranties, etc - but the prices are unbelievable.

Anyway, one of the pieces is a Bradington Young recliner and it is covered in one of their performance fabrics (not leather) and is a very light color. I don't have any additional information about what "performance fabric" means in this brand and the website wasn't any help.

Is scotchguarding this piece a good idea or is it not necessary? I remember back when I bought the chair we are replacing (10 years ago), they said microfiber is actually easier to clean with no additional fabric protectors. I want to make this piece as easy to clean as possible. Again, no warranties to void, so I'm good with scotchguarding if that's the way to go.
