Well done, I like that stone wall you have, looks Old! Next year you can plant them in a container and they will fruit that way you'll be able to harvest any bananas that ripen indoors.

This was yesterday. Two week forecast calls for some nights down into the forties so I'm assuming this is about as far as I'll get. But I'm going to ride it out.

What's interesting about the stone wall is that we don't own it. It's on the historical registry (circa 1863), and our property line is on the inside of the wall.

I'd bring it in and try your luck. Who knows, maybe they'll survive.

Grows a little more every day. I've got 100 strawberry plugs to get put in the ground so I'm in a holding pattern regarding the nanner. My daughter (6) and son (3) get excited about it and want to see it each morning when waiting for the bus.

My plant is just as yours before last winter. Sitting inside behind a bright window for the winter winter time, 4-5 feet with no pups.

Nope. Temps dropped and the flower just stopped growing. I moved four pups inside and left the mother out. Hopefully in a year or two I'll get fruit.

Hey how are the plants now?

I pulled in the pups for the winter but didn't offer much care. I put them back out recently. One of them has gone mushy, I'm hoping that the corm is okay and it'll pup up. The biggest is a wee bit mushy at the top, but otherwise stiff for the remainder of the pseudostem. I think I'll slice off the top six inches and see if I can incite some growth.

The flowering mother plant was left out to do as it would. Frost took her down, and the Virginia freezes killed her.
