1. Put a narrow and tall mirror behind the lamp.

2. Get a big lamp.

3. Get a lamp with a white lampshade and reflective base.

Yes a large scale white one (base and shade) to brighten the room. Your bed pillow looks flat. You also need a blue and green accent pillow on your bed. Break up the line between the bed cover and the wood headboard with the accent pillows. Solid colors given the pattern on the drapes and the bed cover.
