Any chance of pictures? The description fits many crab apples.

Really need to see the flowers as well to come to a firm conclusion but 'Donald Wyman' is a distinct possibility. White flowers, clean, healthy late season foliage (very good disease resistance) and a profuse fruiter with a high degree of persistence (fruit remains on the tree well into winter).

If this planting consists of 'Donald Wyman' it will be displaying red flower buds that open to white flowers 1 3/4 in. across, have nearly hairless parts generally, and the abundant red fruits will be 1/2 in. across.

You can get white flowers in combination with conspicuous, persisting red fruits and disease resistance from multiple different modern crab-apples. So - if you're looking to make a purchase - maybe instead of putting a lot of effort into trying to match this particular planting just shop around, buy whichever variety you encounter that has the characters you want.

Thank you for the input! I will keep an eye on these trees in the spring to better observe the flowers. I agree, I don't necessary need the exact same variety, but something similar. However I do appreciate the health of this particular variety. I don't know if I even have room for a tree, but something to keep in mind for the future.

Popular Malus sargentii is generally seen as small growing and shrubby (although eventually quite broad top growth has been recorded). Forms of this species with red fruits are on the market. There are other dwarf kinds of flowering crab-apples being offered as well.
