It looks to me as though that would work!

Hallway space is inefficient and a waste of space IME. How wide is that hallway? 36"? 42"? and then you actually lose the whole ~25% of your son's room in favor of a linen closet.

Is there room in the bathroom vanity for linens?

Or room somewhere to place a freestanding furniture type chest to use as linen storage.

If you post the whole house floorplan with dimensions, maybe we can show you a better location without losing a large part of the bedroom.

I'm assuming this is the home's original master suite, and there is a new master suite elsewhere -- correct? If you move forward with this plan, your son's bedroom will no longer have a closet . . . which means it might not technically be a bedroom any longer. You may be better served by using the existing closet in the bathroom as the main linen closet, and using the sketched-in linen closet space as a closet for your son's bedroom. What will the dimensions of the bedroom be after this change, and how will it compare to the other bedrooms in the house?
