I can’t really tell without a picture. Not necessarily should you put the window as high as possible-the purpose of the window could be to make the room look bigger and lighter and more open and putting it higher will lessen that. It may look very good lower and it will give the room a whole different look. Good luck

You want the window as high as possible.

High on the wall because the stream of water out of the shower head is at its most narrow point. Lower, the stream widens and gets deflected when it hits the person in the shower.

As much as possible, you want to keep the water off the window and the window sill. To help forestall leaking problems and to keep mineral deposits off the window.

Other reason is privacy.
