Bring in the vandas. That one I am sure of. I know there are some dens but other dens like mid 40's. I you can look up the species or look at their parents you can find the culture.

I still have my vandaceous orchids out (one blooming, another spiking and several others doing fine also) and we've dropped into the upper 40's a few times in the last 10 days here in western Ohio.

I think us northern growers have plants that have become a little more accustomed to low temps and big swings.

I brought in the vandas for the night and put them right back out. Today was sunny in the 70s and should not drop below 50 for the foreseeable future. Yay for hardy plants!

When it is close I always err on safety. If you don't, the time will come to pay the price. Towards the end of the cold season I start to fatigue on moving plants. But I talk myself into it...Smart move on the vandas.
