I have seen that "sampler" turn up many times....decidedly a repro! It;s all over the web and in places even listed as an antique....I don't believe it's even one of those "kit" samplers that were sold a few years back....complete with instructions for making the fabric look old.
I have 2 genuinely old samplers, one dated 1823 and the other an incomplete piece, undated but likely of the same period. Tehr is no confusing this with a real old piece.
There are many things about a sampler that tell you it's age....the shape the style of letters, the message or no message, most often the alphabet was included because that was another reason samplers were made to learn the letters and numbers both lower and uppercase.
It's an embroidered picture, not a sampler...likely dating from about 1970 if I remember the words when they first started appearing.
It's cute....but not antique.
I bought a darling embroidered picture the other day....says hoeing the ground into a garden and has flowers embroidered on it. I love it....but it's not antique...nor a sampler.

There was a place in the 70s that sold "sampler" patterns and I wonder if this is one of them. I was really really surprised at how many there were out there!!!! And it was the 70s, wasn't it, when they were very popular and cross stitch sampler kits were everywhere.

I did open the back of it today and it is fabric and thread (I was wondering since it was so fine that perhaps it was just a photo -- I've seen those). But it's "real" --

The geese / ducks make me think this might have been stitched in the 1980s, as those motifs were very popular at that time.
