Miele, Wolf, Bertazzoni or Bosch induction range????

Tell me about your Miele induction range.... (that comes with the steam oven)

Can you buy it without steam option?

I want to replace my current pro gas range with an induction range. I did my kitchen several years ago with Henrybuilt and I love my kitchen. No need to redo the kitchen (nor can I afford another remodel.)

When I did the kitchen, I kept my beloved cobalt Viking gas range. I was considering induction but I did not at the time because I was not sure.

I love the look of Bertazzoni but the reviews are terrible.

I like Miele's knob over Wolf's touch panel. Miele would look better with my kitchen.

The steam oven that comes with the range terrifies me. I can't imagine having to push all those buttons to bake simple things... I would be installing the range without the water connection. I don't think I can tap the frig water without a major tear into the wall. I guess I will just have to not use the steam function....

The rest of the kitchen already has integrated Miele DW, and built in Speed oven as my MW and second oven. The frig is Thermador integrated. So the only appliance you see is the Speed oven and the range.

I just looked at ranges. Did you notice that the Miele range's oven was set very low? They have a weird knob arrangement that pushes the oven down. It's so odd looking to me, so I passed. Agree w/you about the knobs being better than touch panel, but the aesthetics and bending required of the Miele oven was a deal breaker for me.

I have an all gas Bertazzoni that Ilove but maybe the new ones are not as good mine is 11 yrs old. I run a catering biz from my home and the 36” Bert along with full sized KA all electric wall ovens handle everything i need.. Go to a good appliance store that does demos on the weekend and check out all the options. I still prefer cooking with gas even though I do have a single induction burner for delicate sauces.

" They have a weird knob arrangement that pushes the oven down. "

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I do think it looks odd because of its perfectly flat front, (because you have to angle the touch pad up when you use it). I don't think the oven is lower, but it does look that way. I'll admit I didn't really spend much time looking at it or measuring it, because $10,000 is just too much for me to spend on a range, no matter how good it might be. (I ended up buying the LG induction range, which also has knobs.)

I have learned that induction ranges are crazy expensive but induction cooktops are quite reasonable by comparison. The ranges are noisy and have a whining sound i guess is from the fans? Would love to hear other's experiences and thoughts.

Forgot to mention that wall ovens can't be installed under induction cooktops.

Cluedin - some can, some can’t. You need to check the install instructions for each one you’re considering to know. I *think* Miele allows it, but OP would need to double check.

Miele most definitely allows induction cooktop with oven underneath. Check out their specs, or their IG for that matter. Bosch also allows for that type of installation and Gaggenau. This is not an exhaustive list of allowed cooktops with ovens underneath, there may be more. These are just the ones I know about for sure.

Since the original poster is keeping her existing cabinets, I doubt she is interested in a cooktop with wall oven configuration that would require a new cabinet and push the oven lower.

I do not have experience with any of these, but my GC had had clients with terrible Bertazoni experiences fwiw.

Then Bosch is the best value. I don’t think Miele has a steam feature in the induction range. Not positive. I looked at buying their reange two years ago.

Miele induction range comes with a steam oven and requires water hook up. I looked at the specs. It costs $1 to 2000 more than the gas range.

Is it steam assis or a full CSO? If a CSO I would get it without question. I would probably get steam assist too. I love My CSO.

It looks like Miele also has an induction range with a regular oven (at a substantially lower price).

that is not an induction range. That is a hot electric stove top. dumb, yeah?

Induction ranges are more expensive than gas ranges, but I don't know if I'd say that an extra $1000 or so makes them "crazy expensive". YMMV. And if you're not changing your cabinetry, it's more expensive to put in a cooktop and wall oven than it is to simply replace the range.

I don't find my induction range noisy at all, but I have read some complain about a kind of buzz.......maybe it's certain brands, or older technology (mine is about a year old)?

Wow, that’s crazy. I specifically selected induction only in my search on their site, but apparently it ignored me.

The steam assist is something you can choose to use or not. You can roast, bake and broil without it. You can have steam added or do it manually. It's not as controllable as the CSO which lets you choose steam amount by percentage. Here's the owners manual.
