Your tile guy is correct. We would recommend the bull nose as well. Seeing is believing so we also recommend gathering samples of other options. If you can't find samples at your local supplier try contacting the manufacturer, you can order samples direct. Hope this helps!

Pick a tile that offers a bullnose finished edge or a tile that offers matching trim pieces (pencil liners, quarter round, etc).

A good tile shop will carry many tile lines with trim/edge options. Sometime they won't have samples of all the options available, but they can easily look them up online and order samples.

Here is an example of the tiled end edged with a bullnose tile (bullnose on the long edge of tile piece). Some tile lines will also offer bullnose on the short edge and corner bullnose pieces.
