El Niño probably... Every year is a bit different. Some plants do better, some do worse. My plants sported more than usual. Usually suckers is a result of the stress - so if you exclude accidentaly drying them or not repotting too long.. El Niño is our only answer.

I can't think of anything that stress them . I have been given them great attention recently because mite usually attack at this time in the past. Probably they don't like me stare at them. :D

I think 'too much love' stresses more plants than anything else. Lol, so maybe your inspection is a stressor (it's that person again, she's going to spray something on us, or dunk us in something...or something....*stress*). Just joking;)
