Heirloom does not seem to offer this rose

Looks like no one offers it OR, maybe you need to get a grafted plant, grow it in, and try to root some cuttings? Do you think it will grow better own root or?

I don't know enough to say which is better, but 4 of the 5 DA I had died last winter, i live in Houston and did not protect them. They were all grafted, but they were not doing well to begin with which I think was more to do with location. They got way more shade than I anticipated. Wanted to try an own root in a different bed that gets a lot of sun...

Some Austin roses do just fine on their own roots. Some do not.
If no one is offering a rose own root, it may be that Austin prevents its sale, or that it just doesn't prosper without budding.

It is listed under the roses that are supposed to offered as own root on their website, but when you click on it, it says not available. That is why I was looking for own root. Plus since most of my plants died, wondering if own root will make a difference
