HELP SAVE THIS RUBBER TREE

Any tips on how to help this rubber tree come back to life? Reincarnate it???? It is important to my family that we keep it alive for another 10+ years.

Pull that whole thing out of the pot and have a look at the roots. If it has been in that same pot this entire time the soil is depleted and the roots are likely circling and crowded.

I'm guessing it needs fresh potting soil, a larger pot, and then much more light. You'll probably need pruning shears or a saw to open up the root ball and get the roots straightened out before you put it into it's new pot. If it was me I'd cut the whole thing back to eight or ten inches tall- that tall spindly look is not going to reverse itself. Be sure and use something that says potting mix on the bag.

Your post does not have enough information to be meaningful. You haven't identified the tree (there are a number of different plants with the alias "rubber tree"). You don't have your location included with your member info or in your post. There is no picture or description of the problem, unless we are to assume that the tree is literally and completely dead. And, you haven't told us what happened to cause the issue. If it really is dead, then IT'S DEAD! If not, we need a lot more information to be able to even guess what's going onl

I have added a pic. I live in Massacusetts and we have had this plant for nearly 15 years now. It was once lush with leaves but the past few it has lost a lot. I was unaware they're are several types of rubber tree, but our is an inside plant.

We are located in massacusetts. The plant sits in front of bay windows all year long. Indoor plant, has been going strong for at least 15 years now but recently has been losing leaves. It has grown up but not out. It has pretty much only ever had one or two branches off it.
