Why it looks classic just the way it is but I would remove 1/2 the decor especially from the mantel and hang the art.

It's pretty. The fireplace itself doesn't need a punch of color, and you've already done a nice job of providing that in your decorative accessories (although I'd probably remove one or two of the items to create a cleaner look).
