Design Dilemma Storage & Closet

Master Closet Dilemma

We are renovating our master bath and closet. They are currently side by side with no connection. We will be utilizing the guest bath behind to extend into and make them both longer. The dilemma is that the master closet is very narrow as is - 5'8" wide and will be extended in length to 8'10" but width will remain the same. Or, we can make an entrance from the bath next to it which will make it 8'10" in width and 5'8" length. What's preferable, allow more usable space and better for resale? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I can't even tell if you're talking reach-in or walk-in from your use of length and width...

I think it is a matter of personal preference. Some people don't like the closet being connected to the bathroom and others don't mind. I think the closet looks more inviting and less long and skinny with the door from the bathroom.

Looks like a better closet, but I'd hate to have the dampness of bath in my clothing. Good fan and good door, maybe it's the way to go.
