The longer you wait, the better, after that they get dry but that takes a while. Sweet like a eating a spoonful of sugar does't do anything for me.

There is a guy that goes by the "Mr. Texas" in your neck of the woods that grows just about anything in a big way, check him out. Keep eating, pretty soon the tree is bear and then you have the answer.

I would wait until the fruit is completely orange in color. I just checked the harvest dates on this variety and it's suppose to last well on the tree through December.

Last year I harvested my page mandarin fruits for about 3 months. They kept getting better and better. So, no hurry!

Last December I was in such a hurry to eat my Tangos when they completely changed color and they were not sweet at all. I learned later that I ate them too early so now I am going to wait until January/February to try them. Just because they are the right color doesn't mean they are ready to be consumed.

Thank you for the review. They sure look and sound delicious. My page tree has three little fruitlets on it for the first time ever and they are starting to turn. The round fruit are much smaller than I expected, so I hope I pick them at the right time and that they are packed with flavor. So excited!
