You can add a fresh paint color or wallpaper to compliment your existing wall panels. I would also suggest new hardware in brushed nickel. This will help maintain the retro look you're going for.

I see nothing appealing in those cheap wall panels that were an easy fix when they were done.Since you are doing a complete gut job why let them confuse the issue.

That bathroom looks like a 1970s update; I had those panels in pink! Get rid of all of it.

What do you mean by complete remodel? Were you planning just to update this bath?

By faux brick wall I meant wall panels, drywall mud and faux painting. Living Room is about done with new Pergo floors and new pellet stove, crown molding and baseboard. Bathroom had the ugly panels taken out and currently torn apart. A leak was fixed in the floor and floor fixed, but new plumbing is currently being put in. I believe it is the smallest bathroom ever. 5 ft x 5 ft not including the tub area. The kitchen is torn apart waiting to be turned into a retro r0s diner.
