Installing a bigger corner sink..

So this is what the layout of my kitchen cabinets are. I want to put a sink that big in the cabinets also. Only thing is i have drawers on one side and a cabinet on the other just like this picture. how did they get that big of a sink in a smaller area? Any tips?

I have a corner like that as well. There is dead space where the angles do not meet, and then they cut down the sides of the adjacent cabinets that it runs into. I have a cooktop going into mine instead of a sink.

A corner sink is a one person sink. If you have another prep sink somewhere else., then maybe.Otherwise a more accessible location is worth trying for.

I have a similar situation (just bought the house- the kitchen is not my choosing). However on one side of the sink , maybe the dead space size is a very narrow cabinet where we stack cookie sheets and pans. Next to that is the range. On the other side of the sink is a bank of 4 drawer cabinet. Next to that cabinet is the dishwasher.

I would love a bigger (and more importantly a deeper sink). I find that having the sink and dishwasher not immediately next to each other (there is the bank of drawer cabinet in between) is annoying. We actually do not use the dishwasher so much for washing, but for drip drying and when we put the dishes in the DW it drips along the floor. Yes a rug would help but I keep thinking that it would be better to switch the DW and the bank of cabinets.

So I am curious here and will follow this thread, and in the meantime I would agree that maybe a separate location would work.

i have a corner sink, but my cabinet was a hexagon, and still cut down a bit inside. filler strips added so the dishwasher and trash can easily stand open during clean up.

in general, there is nothing inherently wrong with a corner sink. corners are rarely perfectly utilized, and its nice having a lot of space behind the sink to air dry the things we need to wash by hand. its a matter of widening the face so you get good storage and good accessibility.

so think in terms of pulling the face of the sink further into the kitchen, for a wider front for undersink storage which equals more space to stand.
