No, this chair reclines almost flat for sleeping. If you need a chair that elevates your feet above your heart take a look at any of the StellarComfort chairs from UltraComfort. Those chairs will place your feet above your heart when fully reclined. Those model numbers are UC550-JPT, UC550-M, UC550-L, UC556, UC520, and UC680. All of these chairs are available through Houzz.
